Go Architect / Solution Architect (Go)

Location: Remote, hybrid, or office-based work available in Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, or the Netherlands.

Salary: €6,100–€8,300 gross per month, depending on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Design and evolve scalable, distributed, high-performance systems in Go.
• Select concurrency models and balance performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Translate business goals into technical plans and delivery roadmaps with Product Managers.
• Identify edge cases, risks, and technical constraints during planning.
• Represent engineering in stakeholder meetings and communicate technical topics in business terms.
• Lead code reviews, architecture reviews, and improvements to CI/CD and engineering processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience and 4+ years of production-level Go experience.
• Deep knowledge of goroutines, channels, context, the Go memory model, and concurrency patterns.
• Experience designing distributed, microservice-based, and high-load systems.
• Strong expertise in REST and/or gRPC API design, versioning, and backward compatibility.
• Experience with relational databases, message brokers, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, security, and fault-tolerant system design.
• Higher education in Computer Science or a related field, experience with AI implementation within teams, regulated-domain experience, and Advanced English or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with NoSQL databases, caching layers, cloud platforms, DDD, or event-driven architecture.
• Previous Architect, Staff Engineer, or Principal Engineer experience.
• Experience integrating AI or LLM components into production systems.
• Experience with SRE practices, open-source Go projects, or cloud architecture certifications.
