What you will do
- Analyze monthly financial statements, property performance, market comparables, and variance data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Partner with third-party property management groups to improve site team performance and respond to market trends.
- Support rent pricing, marketing programs, contract negotiations, and additional-income initiatives.
- Coordinate capital projects, including bid reviews, vendor negotiations, contract execution, and project supervision.
- Participate in annual budgeting, internal reporting, weekly management presentations, and property visits.
- Assist with due diligence and escrow activities for property acquisitions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of broad-based multifamily asset management experience; market-rate and affordable housing experience is desirable.
- Experience with financial reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, and capital improvement planning.
- Knowledge of real estate asset management, portfolio optimization, value creation, contracts, leases, and leasing objectives.
- Ability to manage bids, vendors, contractors, competing priorities, and multiple stakeholder relationships independently.
- Strong communication, organization, initiative, professionalism, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with lead-tracking programs is expected.
