Manager, Employee Relations

Location: Hybrid schedule with a minimum of four days per week in the Universal City, California office; occasional weekend and holiday flexibility may be required.

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 per year, bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Conduct autonomous, in-depth investigations into sensitive and complex employee concerns, including interviews, fact-finding, documentation, reporting, and corrective action support.
• Develop standardized processes for investigating, tracking, and documenting employee relations cases in a centralized system.
• Analyze case data to identify trends and recommend proactive mitigation, training, and policy improvements.
• Advise operations leaders and HR Business Partners on complex employee relations matters and consistent policy enforcement.
• Partner with Legal and operations leadership to resolve issues and revise employee programs, policies, and practices.
• Support Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities and related team member activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressively responsible HR generalist experience, including employee relations work.
• 3+ years handling complex employee investigations and collaborating with legal counsel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field.
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, prioritization, confidentiality, conflict resolution, and independent decision-making skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or a related field.
• Experience with Oracle, CaseIQ, iSight, or another employee relations case database.
• Experience in union or represented environments and hospitality.
• Experience delivering HR services in fast-paced, high-change, matrixed organizations.
