Human Resources Manager (Manufacturing): Leading full-scope HR operations for a non-union marine manufacturing site with an accent on recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and workforce development. Location: Primarily office-based in Walpole, Massachusetts, with opportunities for remote work. Occasional travel of less than 10% is required to sites in Pascagoula, Mississippi, Beloit, Wisconsin, and other enterprise locations. The position requires flexibility beyond standard business hours to support a three-shift business. Access to U-NNPI requires U.S. citizenship, proof of citizenship, and an attestation of no dual citizenship.

What you will do

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and talent pipeline development.
  • Advise employees and managers, resolve conflicts, and strengthen employee engagement and retention.
  • Develop HR policies and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
  • Prepare HR metrics and reports using HR systems and Excel to support business decisions.
  • Design training and development programs, and oversee talent reviews and performance management.
  • Partner with site leadership, operations, technical schools, recruitment events, and HR colleagues across locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR compliance, and employee engagement practices.
  • Experience building relationships, resolving conflicts, and supporting collaborative workplaces.
  • Proficiency in HR systems, data analysis, Microsoft Excel, and talent pipeline management.
  • U.S. citizenship, proof of citizenship, and no dual citizenship are required for access to U-NNPI.

Nice to have

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or an equivalent HR certification.
  • Experience in both non-unionized and unionized environments.
