Data Center OFE Strategic Sourcing Lead (Data Center)

Location: Remote-friendly with required travel; staff are expected to work from a San Francisco or New York City office at least 25% of the time.

Salary: $320,000–$320,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Develop sourcing strategies and negotiate master purchase agreements for generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, chillers, cooling towers, CRAHs, pumps, and related infrastructure.
• Audit procurement schedules, allocate constrained equipment, and improve supply cost efficiency.
• Ensure data center partners and general contractors follow commercial equipment terms and technical specifications.
• Build global inventory, warehousing, logistics, buffer stock, and distribution strategies.
• Monitor supply chain volatility, develop contingency plans, and prevent critical project delays.
• Translate construction and capacity roadmaps into equipment forecasts, procurement pipelines, and vendor performance plans.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, sourcing, and procurement.
• Experience forecasting, planning, and managing data center electrical and mechanical equipment for construction or operations.
• Familiarity with generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, batteries, chillers, cooling towers, CRAHs/CRACs, pumps, and CDUs.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in electrical or mechanical engineering, construction management, supply chain, or a related field.
• Ability to work from the United States and attend an office at least 25% of the time; travel is required.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, sourcing, and procurement.
• 5+ years of experience with data centers or critical-environment infrastructure.
• Experience with general contractors, MEP integrators, OEMs, equipment distributors, and data center construction programs.
• Familiarity with liquid cooling equipment and battery energy storage systems.
• Leadership and influencing skills.
