What you will do
- Set up, operate, and maintain laser cutting and other sheet-metal processing equipment, including Timesaver, waterjet, Bridgeport mill, and tapping tools.
- Read blueprints and engineered drawings and produce parts according to precise specifications.
- Deburr, countersink, tap, measure, and perform quality-at-the-source checks on manufactured parts.
- Manage raw materials, including unloading trucks, cycle counts, storage rack operations, and safe movement with vacuum lifts and overhead cranes.
- Confirm completed parts in SAP, tag and stage them correctly, and record actual labor estimates on production orders.
- Perform preventative maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized according to 5S standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineered drawings.
- Ability to use micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges, and other precision-measuring instruments.
- SAP experience, basic setup knowledge, and basic understanding of lean manufacturing.
- Ability to load and unload machines, prioritize work, solve problems, follow instructions, and work effectively with other departments.
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, bend, push, and pull for extended periods; occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds; work overtime; and follow safety requirements. The position is safety-sensitive and subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
