Data Warehouse Analyst (Power BI)

What you will do

• Design and develop Power BI semantic models, dataflows, dashboards, paginated reports, and analytical datasets.
• Build advanced DAX calculations, KPIs, and reporting logic while optimizing workspace, dataset, and report performance.
• Develop dimensional warehouse models and Snowflake reporting solutions, including performance tuning, clustering, compute management, and cost optimization.
• Write and optimize complex SQL using CTEs, window functions, analytical queries, and reporting views.
• Integrate Power BI with Snowflake and troubleshoot performance, data quality, reliability, and scalability issues.
• Gather requirements, document data lineage and metadata, support governance, and present solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of business intelligence and data analytics experience, including 3–5+ years of hands-on Power BI development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, semantic models, dataflows, and paginated reports.
• Advanced SQL skills, including CTEs, window functions, analytical queries, and query optimization.
• Strong knowledge of star schema design, fact and dimension modeling, and dimensional data warehousing.
• Experience integrating and administering Snowflake, performing performance tuning, and documenting metadata and data lineage.

Nice to have

• Power BI report embedding, CI/CD deployment pipelines, Git, or Azure DevOps experience.
• Experience with enterprise data warehouse initiatives and cloud-based analytics environments.
• Experience in government or highly regulated industries.
