TL;DR
Senior Operational Compliance Analyst (Insurance): Translating insurance regulations into actionable business requirements and coordinating regulatory compliance operations with an accent on regulatory change management, audits, data calls, and state recovery. Focus on leading cross-functional initiatives, resolving complex compliance matters, and improving documentation and response frameworks.

Location: Hybrid/flexible work from Austin or Dallas, Texas; Morristown, New Jersey; or San Jose, California, United States.

Salary: $175,000–$265,000 base pay for San Jose and Morristown locations.

What you will do

  • Translate regulatory and legal requirements into clear actions for business teams and validate deliverables before submission.
  • Lead complex compliance initiatives, track open items, and drive process improvements across multiple stakeholders.
  • Manage regulatory change assessments, implementation plans, change logs, and leadership reporting.
  • Coordinate CVE and lender documentation, state recovery activities, data calls, and related records.
  • Lead carrier audit and survey responses, communicate with auditors, and drive corrective action plans.
  • Manage Regulatory Compliance Matter Notifications, including routing, tracking, escalation, and reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in insurance operations, compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements and their operational application.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clarify complex regulatory language.
  • Experience collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Operations, and/or Product teams.
  • Ability to lead initiatives independently, manage competing deadlines, and maintain high accuracy.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members or peers.

Nice to have

  • Experience with MCE, data calls, carrier audits, CVE/lender documentation, or state recovery.
  • Knowledge of homeowners or personal lines insurance and state-specific filing requirements.
  • Experience with compliance tracking tools, project management platforms, or regulatory databases.
  • CPCU, AIC, or another insurance designation.
