CAPEX Project Manager (Manufacturing)

TL;DR

CAPEX Project Manager (Manufacturing): Leading end-to-end capital projects from concept development through mechanical completion and handover to site operations, with an accent on scope, schedule, cost, risk, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Focus on executing complex projects exceeding $100M, coordinating EPCM firms, OEMs, contractors, and cross-functional teams, and supporting CQV and startup readiness.

Location: Onsite in New Albany, Ohio, United States. Regular shift. Domestic and international travel may be required to visit equipment manufacturers and support projects outside the New Albany site. Immigration sponsorship or support is not available, including Form I-983 support for STEM OPT.

Salary: $100,000–$166,000 national target base pay range. California and New York metro locations have a target range of $110,000–$184,000.

What you will do

• Own integrated project plans covering scope, schedule, cost, risks, resources, and change control.
• Lead project execution from design through installation, mechanical completion, commissioning, CQV, startup, and handover.
• Coordinate matrixed teams across Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Tech Ops, Finance, Procurement, and EHS.
• Manage EPCM firms, OEMs, integrators, contractors, contracts, deliverables, performance, and escalations.
• Control budgets, forecasts, cash flow, capitalization requirements, milestones, and mitigation plans.
• Ensure complete documentation, system turnover, punch-list closure, contractor closeout, and lessons learned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience managing large, complex capital projects in manufacturing or regulated environments.
• Experience with capital project delivery models, projects exceeding $100M, EPCM execution, and contractor management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in matrixed organizations and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with GMP or similarly regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without immigration sponsorship or support.
