Actuarial New Grad 2027 Opportunities

Location: Toronto, Ontario. Hybrid work is required, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.

Salary: CAD 55,000–77,000 per year, plus potential annual bonus incentives.

What you will do

• Rotate through actuarial disciplines every two to three years, including business planning, capital management, pricing, risk, valuation, and product analysis.
• Work with financial modeling systems and actuarial, spreadsheet, database, and reporting software.
• Collaborate with Corporate Actuarial, Finance, Investments, IT, Business Planning, Pricing, Risk, and Capital Management teams.
• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to generate data insights and overcome business challenges.
• Build technical, leadership, and communication skills through progressively more responsible assignments.

Requirements

• University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Currently writing Society of Actuaries exams with the intention of achieving FSA and FCIA designations.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel.
• Strong analytical, technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Experience with AXIS, Hyperion, Power BI, or MicroStrategy.
