TL;DR
Robotics Software Engineer (Python/C++): Developing production software for motion planning and control of mobile manipulator robots navigating trailers filled with varied cargo, with an accent on reliability, latency, simulation, and deployment infrastructure. Location: Hybrid in the Boston, MA area, with regular on-site work and occasional travel to customer deployment sites.

What you will do
- Design and develop production-quality software for robot arm and mobile-base motion planning.
- Build infrastructure to run, benchmark, and deploy planning algorithms across varied fleet compute platforms.
- Partner with simulation engineers to create CI pipelines that validate planner behavior and detect regressions before deployment.
- Own features from prototyping through field deployment, including debugging and tuning on real hardware.
- Collaborate with perception, hardware, firmware, and deployment teams, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience in robotics, planning, and control for AMRs or mobile manipulators.
- Hands-on experience with classical motion planning or ML-based planning for real-world robots or other safety-critical, real-time systems.
- Professional fluency in English.
- Strong Python proficiency; experience with C++ is beneficial.
- Availability for regular on-site work in the Boston, MA area and occasional travel to customer deployment sites.
- Ownership mentality, comfort with ambiguity and physical hardware, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative approach.
