Senior UC Engineer (Unified Communications)

Location: Remote work based in the United States; the role supports the Americas region. Weekend and off-hours availability may be required for maintenance windows and critical changes.

What you will do

• Administer and support Cisco Webex Calling and Webex Contact Center in production.
• Manage voice recording platforms, trading turret communications, SIP trunking, and telecom service-provider coordination.
• Lead incident triage, escalation, vendor coordination, and resolution across UC platforms.
• Support Red Sky E911 services, Microsoft Teams Meetings, and related collaboration platforms.
• Monitor platform health with Splunk and manage Call Detail Records for reporting, troubleshooting, and compliance.
• Improve documentation and knowledge-sharing practices across the engineering team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in unified communications engineering or support.
• Hands-on experience administering Cisco Webex Control Hub and strong knowledge of Webex Calling and Webex Contact Center architecture.
• Experience with SIP trunking, telecom providers, voice recording, UC monitoring, Splunk, and CDR management.
• Knowledge of network connectivity, routing, and bandwidth management fundamentals.
• Experience with incident management and vendor escalation processes.
• Flexibility to work weekends and off-hours as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with trading floor communications or IPC Connexus turret systems.
• Experience with E911 solutions such as Red Sky.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams collaboration platforms.
• Relevant Cisco certifications, such as CCNP Collaboration.
• Ability to use Copilot and other AI productivity tools.
