Assistant Health & Safety Consultant (Graduate)

What you will do

• Advise clients on legal obligations under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, Building Safety Act, and Building Regulations.
• Identify and mitigate risks across construction projects, maintenance activities, and property management.
• Conduct risk assessments and on-site safety audits, documenting hazards including work at height, asbestos, and general site conditions.
• Prepare, review, and maintain health and safety documentation in line with regulatory and best-practice standards.
• Collaborate with design and construction teams to embed safety practices into project planning and safe building design.
• Develop problem-solving, time management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Requirements

• Degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related construction discipline.
• Genuine interest in health and safety and safe building practices.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
• Ability to work in the London hybrid arrangement.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including CDM.
• Internship, placement, or project experience in construction, property, or risk management.
