TL;DR
Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js): Building and scaling backend services, APIs, infrastructure, and data foundations for an enterprise wait-management SaaS platform with an accent on reliability, observability, scalability, and AI-driven operational insights. Focus on designing resilient architectures, improving deployment and monitoring systems, and developing data capabilities for wait times, staffing, and service performance.
Location: Stockholm, Sweden. Hybrid work with at least 2 days per week in the office at Kungsgatan 32.

What you will do
- Own the full engineering lifecycle, including technical design, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Design, implement, and evolve APIs, workflows, and backend services supporting core product functionality.
- Improve scalability, reliability, observability, and compliance across services and internal platforms.
- Enhance monitoring, logging, deployment systems, tooling, and engineering practices.
- Build backend systems, infrastructure, and data foundations for enterprise-scale operations and AI initiatives.
- Collaborate across the stack and with the CTO and cross-functional engineering teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building web applications.
- Strong experience with Node.js and scalable backend architecture design.
- Experience with cloud hosting and operations.
- Experience selecting and operating data storage solutions for responsive and scalable applications.
- Ability to collaborate across the stack and explain complex concepts to cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience at a startup or with a SaaS product.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience.
- Experience with Firebase, Firestore, or BigQuery.
- Monitoring, reliability engineering, operational best practices, or security-focused platform development experience.
