Senior Backend Engineer (Node/TypeScript)

What you will do

• Lead the technical design, scalability, and performance of the order-handling backbone.
• Drive adoption of AI-powered tools, smart workflows, and modern technologies across backend engineering and developer workflows.
• Review, audit, and refactor distributed architecture to improve reliability, maintainability, and efficiency.
• Shape technical strategy with product management and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and lead through code reviews, pair programming, mob programming, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and introduce engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Extensive senior-level experience designing, building, and maintaining high-throughput production systems.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Deep experience with MongoDB or equivalent document, NoSQL, or relational databases, including query optimization and schema design.
• Strong Kubernetes expertise and production experience with GCP or similar cloud infrastructure.
• Experience applying AI capabilities, LLMs, or developer automation to backend engineering and business operations.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for explaining complex architecture to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
