Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Based onsite in Amsterdam, Netherlands

What you will do

• Build and evolve debit and credit card services, including issuance, blocking, limit changes, and PIN requests.
• Own features end to end, from design and specification through coding, testing, and production deployment.
• Help consolidate legacy debit and credit systems into a reusable, scalable platform.
• Develop backend services with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Cassandra, and Oracle.
• Contribute to frontend components using Lit HTML and Web Components.
• Deploy and operate containerized applications on OpenShift using Azure DevOps, Helm, Kubernetes, and Docker.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience with a backend focus and confident full-stack capability.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Maven, Kafka, Cassandra, and Oracle.
• Experience with Lit HTML or Web Components, test automation, CI/CD, and deployment tooling.
• Proven lead developer experience owning features from design through deployment.
• Strong architectural thinking and the ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly.
• Fluent spoken and written English is required.
