Senior Software Engineer (Node.js/React)

Location: Hybrid in Utrecht, The Netherlands; currently open only to candidates already living in The Netherlands.

Salary: €4,500–€5,800 per month.

What you will do

• Design and implement robust, scalable integrations with headless CMSs, e-commerce platforms, payment providers, ERP systems, and order systems.
• Translate requirements into technical architectures, solutions, and production-ready implementations.
• Develop and integrate front-end features with React and create documented REST APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
• Build cloud-native, containerized, serverless, and event-driven applications using messaging queues.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, QA specialists, architects, analysts, project managers, and clients.
• Support teammates, mentor junior developers, and improve internal standards for code quality, maintainability, and scalability.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience delivering high-quality web applications and software solutions.
• Strong experience developing Node.js server-side JavaScript/TypeScript applications with frameworks such as Express or Apollo.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Knowledge of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, front-end build tools, unit and integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure, Lambda, event-driven architecture, messaging queues, and Terraform.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills and current residence in The Netherlands are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with e-commerce applications, payment solutions, ERP integrations, and order systems.
• Experience supporting and mentoring junior software developers.
