TL;DR
Lead/Staff Full Stack Engineer, AI Platform & Agents (TypeScript/Node.js/React/Python): Build and ship full-stack systems, AI agents, and reusable GenAI platform components for rapid development, validation, and deployment with an accent on cloud-native architecture, developer tooling, and safe AI delivery. Focus on designing RAG and tool-use workflows, building CI/CD and observability with evaluations and rollout controls, and improving latency, reliability, hallucination rates, and safety.

Location: Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands; remote-first team. Applicants may be required to appear onsite at a hirify.global office during the recruitment process.

What you will do

  • Design and implement full-stack applications, AI agents, and reusable GenAI platform components.
  • Build developer tooling, CI/CD, observability, evaluations, canary releases, and rollout and rollback mechanisms.
  • Apply secure SDLC, threat modeling, least-privilege access, and privacy-by-design practices.
  • Use LLM patterns including RAG, retrieval, routing, tool use, and evaluations to deliver reliable AI systems.
  • Collaborate with product, UX, and domain experts on customer-focused solutions with measurable outcomes.
  • Lead architecture and larger projects while mentoring engineers and remaining hands-on.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong full-stack development and cloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Expertise in at least one of AI agent development and evaluation, backend, frontend, cloud services, CI/CD and infrastructure as code, SRE, quality engineering, or secure SDLC.
  • Experience delivering secure, reliable, cloud-native systems to production.
  • Excellent problem-solving, ownership, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Applicants should be based in the Netherlands; onsite participation may be required during the interview process.

Nice to have

  • Experience taking AI agents from concept to production, including safety evaluations, A/B testing, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with LangChain/LangGraph, MCP, vector and RAG systems, and OpenSearch.
  • Experience with traditional ML training, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Understanding of LLM failure modes, fine-tuning, and model adaptation.
  • Familiarity with SOC 2, HIPAA, or similar regulatory frameworks.
