Location: Onsite support in Las Cruces, New Mexico; the description also references mission operations in Dulles, Virginia. US citizenship, an active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph, DoD 8570 IAT2 certification or higher, and availability for 2nd and/or 3rd shift in a 24/7 operational environment are required.

What you will do
- Support 2nd- and 3rd-shift operations for a 24/7 mission environment.
- Own assigned operational systems and monitor their health, performance, availability, and dependencies.
- Troubleshoot issues across Linux, Windows, networks, infrastructure, applications, and operational tools.
- Coordinate with mission operations, engineering, cybersecurity, customer stakeholders, and program leadership.
- Support incident response, anomaly resolution, root cause analysis, maintenance windows, testing, and upgrades.
- Document shift activity, system status, corrective actions, operational risks, and reliability improvements.
Requirements
- Mid- to senior-level experience in systems engineering, operations engineering, or mission systems support.
- Experience supporting secure, high-availability systems in operational environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across operating systems, networks, infrastructure, and applications.
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph are required.
- DoD 8570 IAT2 certification or higher, such as CompTIA Security+, is required.
- Availability for 2nd- and/or 3rd-shift work within a 24/7 support model is required.
Nice to have
- Experience in DoD, intelligence community, space, ground systems, or mission operations environments.
- Experience as an Operations System Responsibility Engineer, Mission Systems Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Systems Administrator.
- Familiarity with Splunk, Grafana, SolarWinds, Nagios, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Experience with RMF, STIG compliance, secure baselines, classified systems, scripting, or automation using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible.
- Experience with change control, system readiness, and operational acceptance activities.
