Senior Linux System Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid role based in North America, US - New York

Salary: $160,000 per year

What you will do

• Maintain and scale production, staging, and development infrastructure across cloud environments.
• Install, monitor, and maintain hardware, software, networks, servers, and storage assets.
• Automate operational jobs and processes using scripting.
• Own infrastructure security, stability, uptime, upgrades, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor systems, respond to alerts, and participate in the priority-1 on-call rotation.
• Plan releases and configuration changes while troubleshooting issues for internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Linux systems administration experience supporting production environments.
• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or PHP.
• Strong understanding of the LAMP/LEMP stack, networking, and security concepts.
• Experience deploying and debugging complex applications.
• MySQL database administration experience.
• Experience with PowerMTA, mail deliverability, cloud services, virtualization, and communicating technical issues to non-technical clients.

Nice to have

• Experience with Debian or derivative Linux distributions.
