Sr. HRIS Specialist (Workday)

Location: San Diego, California, United States; onsite position

Salary: $97,000–$133,000 annual base salary, plus a 20% target annual bonus and eligibility for an equity-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Design, configure, administer, and optimize Workday Adaptive Planning models for headcount and workforce planning.
• Build and manage Workday Prism Analytics ingestion pipelines, datasets, transformations, schedules, and published data sources.
• Develop advanced, matrix, composite, and dashboard reports, including Discovery Boards and calculated fields.
• Validate and reconcile workforce, position, compensation, labor cost, financial, and organizational data across systems.
• Establish data definitions, lineage, governance, security controls, documentation, and self-service analytics standards.
• Partner with HR, Finance, FP&A, IT, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and business stakeholders on requirements, testing, prioritization, and issue resolution.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience, training, or certifications, plus 4+ years of HRIS, workforce planning, or enterprise analytics systems experience; alternatively, a master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on expertise with Workday Adaptive Planning, including multidimensional models, sheets, dimensions, assumptions, formulas, versions, scenarios, workflows, security, and plan-to-actual reconciliation.
• Hands-on expertise with Workday Prism Analytics, including ingestion, transformation pipelines, datasets, scheduling, validation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and security.
• Advanced Workday reporting expertise covering business objects, data sources, calculated fields, advanced, matrix, and composite reports, dashboards, Discovery Boards, security, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of workforce and financial planning, HR data, data governance, data modeling, ETL/ELT, relational data, and SQL.
• Strong analytical, communication, project management, requirements gathering, testing, change management, Excel, and problem-solving skills.

• Relevant Workday certification or Workday Pro accreditation.
• Experience mentoring or training less experienced team members.
