AIV Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Renens VD, Switzerland; onsite work in the Switzerland office.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deliver, and maintain test benches and test environments with the Assembly, Integration and Validation team.
• Collaborate with the system team to define test strategies and create supporting test environments.
• Develop and execute tests across spacecraft subsystems, including software, hardware interfaces, and communication layers.
• Design and architect spacecraft digital twins and contribute to electrical integration with satellite hardware.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and drive continuous improvement from test design and implementation through result analysis and execution.

Requirements

• Strong background in software development, including software craftsmanship and reliable software development methods and practices.
• Experience with DevOps.
• Experience integrating embedded or flight software with hardware platforms such as boards, sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces.
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting at system level, including interfaces, protocols, timing, and performance.
• Familiarity with integration environments such as FlatSat, test benches, or equivalent setups.
• Understanding of low-level interfaces including CAN, SpaceWire, UART, SPI, and Ethernet, and their impact on system behaviour.
• Ability to propose innovative designs while maintaining rigor, delivery discipline, quality, and seamless integration with downstream activities and project timelines.
• Agility, flexibility, eagerness to learn, and ability to work with multiple geographically distributed teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace or another domain involving complex, safety-critical systems.
