Software Engineer | Game Services (Backend)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain software used across multiple games and services.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, event-driven systems, and reusable platform components.
• Design integrations and data flows across player support, game, and internal platform systems.
• Own features from design and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Improve scalability, resilience, observability, maintainability, automation, and continuous delivery.
• Collaborate on architecture, technical discussions, code reviews, engineering standards, and AI-enabled player support products.

Requirements

• Professional software development experience, ideally with Java or another backend-oriented programming language.
• Experience designing scalable backend services and APIs, distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases, data modelling, system integrations, and production reliability.
• Experience with clean, maintainable, well-tested code, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, monitoring, and cloud-based deployment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams and understand systems end-to-end.
• Effective communication in English required.

Nice to have

• React or modern web development experience.
• AWS or other cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, or other event-streaming platforms.
• Experience with shared platforms, developer tooling, AI-enabled products, C++, C#, Android, iOS, or game development.
