People Ops Specialist – Health & Safety

Location: Onsite in Barcelona, Spain, with responsibility for other Spanish sites and collaboration with teams in Mexico and Germany.

What you will do

• Own occupational health and safety for the Barcelona office and establish consistent standards across company sites.
• Coordinate risk assessments, health surveillance, audits, emergency plans, evacuation drills, signage, and safety training with the external prevention service.
• Investigate and document workplace accidents and incidents, track indicators, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain labor compliance documentation, working-time records, internal policies, and materials required for audits or inspections.
• Implement and monitor the Equality Plan, coordinate with the equality committee, and manage the harassment protocol.
• Support onboarding, offboarding, employee documentation, contract, payroll, and benefits questions while aligning processes with People Ops teams internationally.

Requirements

• Expert-level Spanish is required for handling labor law, prevention services, and authorities in Spain.
• Solid English at a working level is required for international coordination.
• Degree in HR or Occupational Health and Safety, plus a Master's in PRL with the three required specializations: Workplace Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics & Applied Psychosociology.
• 3–4 years of experience in Health & Safety, generalist People Ops, or HR roles, including work with external prevention services and labor advisory firms.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish labor law, including the Workers' Statute, Law 31/1995, RD 901/2020, and RD 902/2020.
• Rigor, discretion, service orientation, autonomy, cross-cultural awareness, and confidence using Excel or Google Sheets for reporting.
