Operational Excellence Officer for Mortgages 100% (F/M/D)

What you will do

• Manage mortgage facilities throughout their lifecycle, including booking, amendments, renewals, refinancing, early repayment, and final settlement.
• Execute mortgage transactions and maintain accurate data across core banking, real estate, and loan administration systems.
• Perform daily operational checks, reconciliations, exception monitoring, and risk escalation to maintain audit readiness.
• Support compliance with internal policies and Swiss regulatory expectations, including FINMA oversight and SNB initiatives.
• Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to automation, digitalisation, technology integration, and change management projects.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Mortgage Advisory, Credit Risk, Legal, and external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or commercial qualification (EFZ) with relevant further training.
• 3–5 years of experience in Swiss mortgage operations or loan administration, preferably in private banking or retail financial institutions.
• Strong knowledge of the Swiss mortgage lifecycle, product types, collateral handling, and related operational workflows.
• Experience with data management, reporting, operational controls, and process optimisation.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute effectively to project-based transformation work.
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken, are required. Advanced Microsoft Office skills are expected; experience with core banking, CRM, or loan systems is beneficial.

• Experience with regulatory expectations in Swiss financial services.
