Senior Payroll Specialist (Swiss Payroll)

What you will do

• Manage the full monthly payroll cycle, including variable pay, absences, employee changes, controls, reconciliations, and payroll-related accounting entries.
• Ensure compliance with Swiss labor laws, tax regulations, and social security requirements, including coordination with international entities, HR partners, and payroll providers.
• Improve, document, standardize, and automate payroll and HR processes in collaboration with HRIS teams.
• Manage ad hoc compensation elements such as bonuses, incentives, and equity or participation plans.
• Contribute to salary benchmarking, salary grids, compensation reviews, budgets, dashboards, and analytical reporting.
• Act as the main point of contact for payroll questions and provide insights for decision-making.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in payroll, preferably in an international or fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss payroll and Swiss labor laws and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, accounting principles, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with payroll systems and HRIS, along with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and external providers.
• High accuracy, reliability, proactive process-improvement mindset, and clear communication skills.

• Experience with compensation and benefits benchmarking, salary structures, and bonus schemes.
• Interest in developing deeper expertise in compensation and benefits.
