Data Science Specialist (AI)

TL;DR

Data Science Specialist (AI): Applying data science and AI techniques to complex operational challenges in secure environments with an accent on exploratory analysis, machine learning, and actionable recommendations. Location: Onsite in Cheltenham, Ipswich, or Manchester, UK; Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. DV Security Clearance is required, and candidates must have lived in the UK for at least 10 years to ohirify.globalain clearance.

Salary

Competitive salary plus benefits. A £5,000 annual DV allowance may be payable while the required clearance is held and the role continues to require it.

Requirements

• Experience applying data science techniques to complex real-world problems.
• Strong Python and Linux skills with experience using data science and machine learning libraries.
• Experience developing, testing, and deploying machine learning models.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence, including generative AI and large language models.
• Ability to ohirify.globalain and maintain DV Security Clearance; at least 10 years of UK residence is required for clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed processing platforms such as Hadoop or Spark.
• Knowledge of MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and container technologies.
• Experience with geospatial, time-series, or graph data.
• Experience mentoring colleagues and sharing technical knowledge.
