Data Science & AI Specialist (AI): Designing, developing, and deploying data science, machine learning, and AI solutions for BT Networks with an accent on large-scale data analysis, predictive modelling, and network performance. Location: Hybrid: three days per week in the London, Birmingham, Bristol, Ipswich, or Belfast offices, with two flexible remote days.

What you will do

• Design and develop advanced data science, machine learning, and AI solutions for complex business challenges.
• Extract, analyse, and interpret large datasets to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
• Build, test, and deploy predictive models, custom algorithms, and AI capabilities.
• Identify data-driven opportunities to improve network performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
• Integrate models and AI solutions into production data platforms and pipelines with data engineers.
• Present analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders and contribute to BT Networks’ Data and AI strategy.

Requirements

• Enterprise-level experience applying data science, machine learning, and AI to real business problems with measurable outcomes.
• Commercial experience with Python and SQL and advanced analysis of large, complex datasets.
• Experience building analytical models and communicating complex findings as clear business insights.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement with three weekly office days in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Ipswich, or Belfast.

Nice to have

• Experience with Generative AI, large language models, modern AI frameworks, or emerging AI technologies.
• Experience deploying machine learning models in enterprise environments and applying MLOps practices.
• Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform and advanced statistical modelling.
• Telecommunications, networking, broadband, Wi-Fi, voice, TV services, or network performance analytics experience.
• Experience developing data products, influencing stakeholders, and driving data-led decision-making.
