Data Management Analyst 4 (Payments Risk & Analytics)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina; hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite per week. Onsite days are flexible.

Salary: $75–85 per hour (approximately $12,000–13,600 per month based on 160 hours).

What you will do

• Analyze wire payment data, initiation channels, business processes, discrepancies, trends, risks, and control issues.
• Compare wire messages with instructions received through payment initiation channels and investigate complex data problems.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, analytical reports, and management reporting.
• Partner with frontline risk, business, technology, product, platform support, and wire product stakeholders.
• Present findings and support issue resolution, risk controls, audit activities, regulatory compliance, and executive reporting.

Requirements

• 7+ years of business analytics experience, payments risk experience, or a combination of both.
• 4+ years of experience writing complex SQL.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Hive.
• Experience parsing XML, delimited, and fixed-width data files.
• Experience developing data pipelines, data transformations, and reporting for business analysts and executives.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with payments, wire payments, payment risk, financial services, or wholesale banking.
• Experience supporting risk controls, audit reporting, or financial crime-related processes.
• Knowledge of payment products, initiation channels, data governance, and reporting requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building, organizational, and change management skills.
