Site Reliability Engineer - Professional (Payments)

Location: Hybrid position in Bucharest, Romania, with work outside office hours and participation in a 24/7 on-call roster when required.

What you will do

• Manage the daily operation, maintenance, and correct use of fraud applications serving mainly European markets.
• Handle incidents, problems, and changes, including impact assessment, resolution estimates, and countermeasures for high-priority incidents.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call roster and support incidents or installations outside regular office hours.
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors and implement preventive improvements.
• Collaborate with development, testing, and project teams on customer, consolidation, and cloud migration projects.
• Define and maintain implementation criteria, operating instructions, quality improvement plans, and business continuity plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or university degree, preferably in Applied Computer Science.
• Full proficiency in English required.
• Strong hands-on affinity with Java, JBoss, Oracle SQL, PostgreSQL, Linux, and cloud solutions including Puppet and Terraform.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Understanding of networking concepts, web services, SOAP/XML, IIS, scripting, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Ability to work accurately and independently, communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and maintain a customer and quality focus.

Nice to have

• Bash or PowerShell scripting experience.
• Knowledge of ITIL and TMAP.
• Familiarity with Zabbix, Grafana, and PagerDuty.
• Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards such as PCI DSS, GDPR, and DORA.
