Senior Software Engineer, DevOps (Cloud Native)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid setup with office and remote work. Travel may be expected to the headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark.

hirify.global develops the Synergy platform, a Cloud Native foundation for future projects with shared logging, surveillance, and other components.

What you will do

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot applications running in Kubernetes using Helm.
• Write and modify Helm chart templates and Kubernetes resources using Bash scripting.
• Build custom Docker images and configure the Istio service mesh.
• Implement and maintain stable, secure, and robust Cloud Native solutions.
• Drive complex development tasks, break down large features, and support timely delivery.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers, provide third-line customer support, and mentor junior colleagues.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and approximately five years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, Porter, FluxCD or ArgoCD, and Bash.
• Knowledge of Git, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Ceph, Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit or Fluentd, and microservices.
• Experience building, operating, maintaining, automating, testing, and optimizing stable solutions.
• A clean criminal record and residence in a NATO and/or EU country for the past seven years are required for security-classified projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with Quarkus, Vault, Keycloak, Terraform, TeamCity, Linux, Angular, and TypeScript.
• Interest in specializing further in Cloud Native technologies.
