What you will do

• Develop civil and structural engineering solutions for utility-scale renewable energy projects in estimating or project execution.
• Lead design development, Basis of Design documentation, engineering reviews, RFIs, and technical deliverables.
• Review drawings, structural calculations, grading plans, foundation designs, and third-party engineering packages for quality and constructability.
• Coordinate with Owners, Engineers of Record, estimators, construction teams, suppliers, surveyors, geotechnical consultants, and permitting agencies.
• Support quantity takeoffs, value engineering, constructability reviews, and technical risk assessments.
• Manage concurrent projects, mentor junior engineers and CAD designers, and improve engineering standards and workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• EIT or FE certification, or the ability to obtain it within one year of hire.
• Four or more years of progressive civil and structural engineering experience in renewable energy, industrial, EPC, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing multiple engineering priorities across multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of structural steel, reinforced concrete, pile and foundation design, grading, drainage, hydrology, geotechnical coordination, and civil site development.
• Ability to work remotely within the United States and travel as required.

Nice to have

• Experience with utility-scale solar or wind projects.
• Experience in estimating engineering, project engineering, or both.
• Experience collaborating with Owners, Engineers of Record, EPC partners, and construction teams across the project lifecycle.
• Interest in mentoring junior engineers and improving project delivery.
