Service Transition Manager (Technical Services)

Location: Remote anywhere in the US; strong preference for candidates based in Columbia, Maryland. Candidates must reside in the US, have valid US work authorization, and be able to obtain a US Public Trust Security Clearance. Travel of at least 25% is required, primarily domestic with occasional international travel.

Salary: $96,000–$125,000 total compensation, including base salary, variable pay when applicable, and benefits.

What you will do

• Understand customer requirements and concepts of operation in collaboration with sales and customers.
• Design and implement service delivery concepts, processes, tools, and operational capabilities.
• Assess service demands and RFQs against operational capabilities and develop statements of work.
• Develop subcontractor SOWs, manage subcontractor performance, and coordinate relationships with the contracts team.
• Create service delivery strategies involving internal and third-party delivery, including SLA costs and pricing.
• Transition service requirements, processes, tools, and training concepts to service delivery teams while driving process improvements.

Requirements

• Technical or business bachelor's degree; electronics or an equivalent technical degree is highly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience defining and implementing business concepts, processes, and tools for operational delivery of technical products.
• Understanding of RF and electrical system fundamentals, including the ability to interpret electrical and mechanical documentation.
• Experience managing complex projects with multiple departments and technical or business deliverables.
• Strong communication, organization, time-management, teamwork, and presentation skills, including advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
• US residence, valid US work authorization, and eligibility to obtain a US Public Trust Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

• ILS, logistics, systems engineering, or PMI/PMP certification.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S.
