AI Tutor (Slovenian)

Location: Remote worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role-specific requirements. US-based candidates cannot be hired in Wyoming or Illinois. Visa sponsorship is not provided.

Salary: US-based candidates receive $35–$45 per hour, equivalent to approximately $5,600–$7,200 per month at 160 hours. International compensation is provided during the recruitment process.

What you will do

• Annotate, label, record, and evaluate multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, speech samples, and auditory content.
• Translate and localize UI copy, prompts, responses, and other content from English into Slovenian.
• Curate audio data that accurately represents pronunciation, accents, intonation, rhythm, emotion, and other prosodic details.
• Collaborate with technical staff to improve speech modulation, accent handling, noisy-recording processing, and multilingual audio capabilities.
• Help improve annotation tools and workflows for efficient, consistent audio data production.

Requirements

• Native Slovenian proficiency with familiarity with diverse accents, dialects, or regional variations.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, with clear pronunciation suitable for audio recording.
• Strong auditory perception, transcription, comprehension, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to translate and localize accurately between English and Slovenian while preserving tone and cultural meaning.
• Experience evaluating ambiguous, accented, or noisy speech and making consistent annotation decisions.
• Personal devices must be a Chromebook, macOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later.

Nice to have

• Background in linguistics, phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, speech sciences, or cognitive science.
• Experience with speech or audio datasets, annotation workflows, AI training data, or voice models.
• Professional voice work, voice recording, podcasting, translation, or software localization experience.
• Voice samples, annotated transcripts, or another portfolio demonstrating audio quality and methodology.
