Dutch Translator & Language Expert (AI)

Location: Netherlands (Remote)

Compensation: $30–$65/hour

What you will do

• Translate and review content between Dutch and English while preserving meaning, context, tone, and intent.
• Evaluate AI-generated Dutch translations, written content, and language outputs for accuracy, fluency, grammar, and cultural appropriateness.
• Assess Dutch audio recordings and spoken language for pronunciation, intonation, accent, rhythm, and authenticity.
• Identify translation errors, grammatical issues, unnatural phrasing, pronunciation problems, and linguistic inconsistencies.
• Apply Dutch cultural conventions, regional variations, and commonly used expressions when evaluating content.
• Provide structured feedback in English and collaborate with project teams to maintain linguistic quality.

Requirements

• Native or near-native Dutch proficiency with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Strong English proficiency sufficient to provide clear written feedback.
• Experience in translation, interpretation, localization, linguistics, language teaching, or language quality evaluation.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch grammar, vocabulary, syntax, pronunciation, idiomatic expressions, and cultural conventions.
• Ability to evaluate translation accuracy, fluency, tone, pronunciation, and linguistic authenticity.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Dutch Language, Translation, Linguistics, Literature, Communications, or a related field.
• Professional Dutch-English translation, interpretation, or localization experience.
• Experience with CAT tools, translation management systems, localization platforms, or terminology management tools.
• Background in phonetics, speech science, voice evaluation, transcription, or audio analysis.
• Experience with AI-generated language content, language data annotation, multilingual AI evaluation, or Dutch regional dialects.
