Senior Developer Advocate (Auth0)

Location: New York, New York, United States; travel requirement of 30% or more

Annual base salary: $147,000–$202,400 USD. The stated salary range applies to candidates located in California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.

What you will do

• Represent Auth0 at industry events, conferences, webinars, code sprints, and technology workshops.
• Create technical blog posts, tutorials, videos, labs, and other educational content for developers.
• Build and nurture relationships with developer communities, customers, and startup developers.
• Advocate for developer needs within Okta and collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Developer Relations counterparts.
• Review early documentation, SDKs, APIs, and product capabilities and provide feedback to improve the developer experience.
• Bring developer insights into product development, documentation, APIs, SDKs, and feature improvements.

Requirements

• Technical background or strong understanding of application development and IT operations.
• Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, or implementing software tools and products.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and intuitively to developers.
• Experience with authentication or authorization protocols such as OAuth, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, or LDAP.
• Understanding of application security concerns including password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, and XSRF.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Developer Advocate, Developer Evangelist, Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Customer Success Manager, or Technical Account Manager.
• Experience building web, mobile, or IoT applications using front-end and back-end technologies.
• Experience with REST, GraphQL, browser developer tools, HTTP traffic, curl, or Postman.
• Experience working with startups, nonprofits, or SaaS developers.
