Senior Software Engineer (React Native)

Salary: $151,275–$251,200 base salary, plus potential performance bonus, benefits, and other incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Build and release cross-platform mobile features for iOS and Android using React Native.
• Own features end to end, including interfaces, state and view logic, client networking, local persistence, and production rollout.
• Integrate GraphQL and REST APIs, collaborating on schemas, authentication, authorization, and client data-fetching patterns.
• Develop persistence, caching, background tasks, offline support, synchronization, and graceful network failure handling.
• Improve engineering quality through automated testing, code reviews, observability, crash reporting, performance profiling, and release readiness.
• Use AI-assisted debugging, test generation, accessibility checks, refactoring, and agentic development workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping cross-platform mobile applications with React Native for large-scale consumer or SaaS products.
• Strong TypeScript and JavaScript skills, with deep knowledge of modern React Native, the New Architecture, Fabric, TurboModules, JSI, and Hermes.
• Experience shipping to both iOS and Android, working with native code and modules in Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java.
• Experience with Expo or comparable native build workflows, app architecture, on-device persistence, offline-first patterns, and networked-client fundamentals.
• Experience with unit, integration, UI, and end-to-end testing, as well as App Store Connect, TestFlight, code signing, provisioning, and release pipelines.
• Clear cross-functional communication and an AI-native builder mindset, including familiarity with evaluations, guardrails, prompt and tool design, or agentic workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with Expo Router, EAS, React Navigation, Reanimated, Gesture Handler, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, Jotai, TanStack Query, Apollo Client, or mobile persistence libraries.
• Familiarity with Jest, React Native Testing Library, Detox, Maestro, Sentry, Crashlytics, New Relic, Fastlane, and monorepo tooling.
