Salary: $149,600–$245,160 USD annually.

What you will do
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize automated wafer-level test systems for silicon photonics devices.
- Develop software for automated characterization and production testing of photonic integrated circuits and optical components.
- Collaborate with photonic device designers to implement and validate device-performance test algorithms.
- Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to meet test data quality, processing, and reporting requirements.
- Improve test-system performance, reliability, and throughput with laboratory technicians.
- Coordinate with design, manufacturing, process integration, and quality teams while maintaining test procedures and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline with 4+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with semiconductor device characterization and testing methodologies.
- 4+ years of experience designing and developing automated test solutions for engineering or manufacturing environments.
- 2+ years of software development experience on Microsoft Windows.
- Experience with test software, optical measurement, wafer probing, and automated wafer-level test platforms.
- On-site work in Santa Clara, California, United States is required.
Nice to have
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Experience testing integrated photonic devices or photonic integrated circuits.
- Familiarity with National Instruments hardware, drivers, and remote instrument control protocols.
- Experience with mechanical system integration, optical alignment, or RF testing.
- Knowledge of software architecture, SDLC, and maintainable test software development practices.
