US HR Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Austin or New York City, United States

Salary: New York City $135K–$170K plus equity; Austin $115K–$145K plus equity.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary HR contact for employees across acquired businesses throughout the United States.
• Build and lead onboarding and post-acquisition employee integration processes.
• Own the relationship with the PEO across payroll, benefits, HRIS, compliance, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Advise managers and employees on policies, employee relations, performance matters, leave, and workplace concerns.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and implement policy updates.
• Partner with People, Finance, Operations, and leadership on HR due diligence, reporting, audits, compensation administration, and scalable processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience supporting multi-state US workforces.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment law, including leave, wage and hour, paid sick leave, benefits, and employee classifications.
• Experience working with a PEO such as TriNet, Rippling, Insperity, Justworks, or ADP TotalSource.
• Hands-on HR generalist experience with strong judgment in confidential employee matters and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with HRIS platforms and employee data management; HiBob experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, and process-building skills.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting M&A integrations or rapidly scaling organizations.
• Experience working in an MSO.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
