Lead Innovation Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Virtual, United States; based in Ohio. Immigration sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $82,100–$172,500 USD annual base pay, plus eligibility for incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Partner with technology, product, strategy, and business teams to define and demonstrate future banking products and enterprise architecture.
• Build prototypes, demonstrations, narratives, and capability visions that turn emerging technology concepts into practical solutions.
• Lead end-to-end ETL workflows, quantitative and qualitative analysis, interactive dashboards, and stakeholder reporting.
• Evaluate fintechs and emerging startups across technology architecture, products, business models, and financial viability.
• Research trends across software development, artificial intelligence, fintech, digital assets, design, and industry markets.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, structured problem-solving, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent relevant experience, plus 5+ years in closely aligned roles.
• Strong frontend development experience with modern web standards and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React, or Vue.
• Strong backend experience with APIs, services, event-driven architectures, Kafka, databases, SQL, Snowflake, and at least one server-side language such as Python, Java, Node, or PHP.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, scalable web applications, deployment practices, version control, CI/CD, automated testing, and mature DevOps environments.
• Proficiency with generative AI for productivity and full-lifecycle software development, plus experience with data ingestion, transformation, pipelines, and visualization tools such as Power BI or Dataiku.
• Working knowledge of blockchain, digital assets, smart contracts, and Web3, along with strong communication, design decision-making, agile delivery, and mentoring skills.
