Accounting Operations Specialist

Location: Must be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Hybrid role, 3 days per week in office).

What you will do

• Review and validate payment requests for internal stakeholders to ensure policy compliance.
• Manage and update payee records within finance systems and banking platforms.
• Execute supplier and business payments accurately through online banking.
• Perform bank account validation to minimize payment risks and ensure data integrity.
• Support daily cash management activities, including monitoring outflows and forecasting.
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary payment documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Payment Operations, or Finance Operations.
• Proficiency in processing payments via banking platforms or ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of payment controls, vendor management, and bank reconciliation.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Must be able to work onsite in the Kuala Lumpur office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience within a Shared Services environment with high-volume transactions.
• Interest in broader finance functions such as Treasury.
