GA Build Technician (Contract) (EV)

Location: Garden Grove, California, United States; onsite production role

Salary: $25–$32 per hour

What you will do

• Assemble chassis components for stripped chassis according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Install and secure suspension, steering, braking, wiring harness, and other mechanical and electrical components.
• Inspect assemblies, perform quality checks, and identify defects or deviations from standards.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and assembly issues in collaboration with engineering and maintenance.
• Maintain records of assembly procedures, part numbers, and modifications.
• Maintain assembly tools and equipment, follow safety protocols, and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in chassis assembly or a related field, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift heavy components, stand for extended periods, and work onsite in a fast-paced production environment.

Nice to have

• Technical certification or vocational training in mechanical or automotive assembly.
