Systems Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid position in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States; fully remote candidates may be considered with increased travel expectations. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. national security clearance. Travel may be required 1–2 times per month and up to 10% overall.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and refine AWS infrastructure for PLM application environments with attention to performance, scalability, cost, and recovery.
• Automate infrastructure and application operations using Ansible, containerized solutions, and cloud-based tools.
• Administer AWS services, RDS Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, operating systems, virtualized environments, and enterprise application platforms.
• Install, upgrade, patch, secure, and troubleshoot PLM applications across production and non-production environments.
• Implement PKI, TLS/SSL certificates, secure authentication, monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and AWS Technical Support while maintaining technical documentation and testing infrastructure performance.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. national security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Current Security+ certification and relevant AWS certifications.
• At least two years of experience setting up and maintaining AWS infrastructure for enterprise applications.
• Experience with Ansible, AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Fleet Manager, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch.
• Administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8+, Windows Server, Active Directory, AppStream, databases, SQL scripting, and virtualized environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, collaboration, and independent-working skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, Python, C++, or C#.
• Agile development experience or certifications.
• Knowledge of aerospace and defense, DoD software policies, cybersecurity requirements, and RMF compliance.
• Experience administering PLM platforms such as PTC Windchill, Arena, FlexPLM, Siemens Teamcenter, Oracle PLM, or Agile PLM.
