Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco or San Jose offices, presence required 4 days per week

Salary: $206,000–$275,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deliver software to improve internal IT systems' availability, scalability, and efficiency.
• Build automation to prevent problem recurrence and automate responses to routine events.
• Collaborate with engineering and internal teams to create new designs and architectures for distributed systems.
• Engage in capacity planning, demand forecasting, performance analysis, and system tuning.
• Produce documentation and artifacts for systems you manage.

Requirements

• Must be present in San Francisco or San Jose office 4 days per week.
• Experience with system design, performance, scalability, and multiple cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proficiency in configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub Actions.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Go.
• Effective asynchronous communication and documentation skills.
• Proactive attitude towards fixing issues and delivering solutions quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience with ML/AI workloads and compute.
• Experience managing paging, alerting, and on-call scheduling.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and collaborate.
