Software Development Engineer, Kiro (AI)

Location: United States — Seattle, Washington or Portland, Oregon

Salary: $143,700–$194,400 annually, plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Shape the technical direction and architecture of autonomous agent systems.
• Design and develop agent orchestration, memory, context-maintenance, and learning capabilities.
• Build, deploy, and operate reliable production systems using CI/CD practices.
• Translate customer development challenges into product capabilities.
• Scale the platform for a broad developer audience and open-source community.
• Collaborate through code reviews, mentorship, and technical leadership across the full software lifecycle.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Experience designing and architecting reliable, scalable systems.
• Experience developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• Object-oriented design experience and proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience with software development lifecycle practices, including testing and operations.

Nice to have

• 3+ years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
