Senior Manager, AI Experience Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in New York City, United States. Candidates must have permanent U.S. work authorization; U.S. visa sponsorship is not available. Occasional travel and flexibility across global time zones may be required.

Annual base salary: $124,400–$207,400, plus a 17.5% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Own assistant UI, conversational, transparency, escalation, trust, and verification patterns within hirify.global’s AI-first design system.
• Ship design tokens, components, and documented patterns into engineering pipelines and maintain the reference library used by automated design quality checks.
• Prototype real agent behavior with LLM APIs and agent frameworks, validating multi-step workflows, tool use, risks, and human approvals.
• Design conversational experiences across chat and voice, including dialog flows, conversation state, recovery, escalation, tone, and safe fallback behaviors.
• Monitor pattern adoption, override rates, and exceptions, redesigning or retiring patterns based on performance data.
• Partner daily with product owners and engineers, deliver rapid proofs of concept, and mentor designers and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of progressive UX design experience with a bachelor’s degree, or more than 5 years with a master’s degree.
• Hands-on experience designing Agentic AI workflows and Conversational UX, including tool calls, human-in-the-loop controls, approvals, transparency, repair, escalation, and safe failure modes.
• Working fluency with front-end principles, design tokens, APIs, and production design system pipelines.
• Experience building with LLM APIs or agent frameworks in code, not only creating static interfaces.
• Expertise in accessibility and inclusive design, including WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, plus a portfolio showing system-level design and AI-powered experiences.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Product design experience shaping scope, trade-offs, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Responsible AI UX, explainability, privacy boundaries, trust and safety guardrails, and AI experience evaluation.
• Service design, journey mapping, or customer experience expertise.
