TL;DR
Senior Director, Targets and Mechanisms Solutions (AI): Leading the strategy, product management, architecture, and delivery of AI-enabled platforms that support target identification, therapeutic hypotheses, translational research, and preclinical decision-making with an accent on scientific data integration, scalable enterprise solutions, and regulated technology delivery. Focus on building interoperable research ecosystems, scaling AI programs, managing global technical teams, and ensuring GxP compliance across complex digital programs.
Location: Hybrid in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. Candidates must have permanent U.S. work authorization; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available. Limited travel may be required, including participation outside normal business hours.
Annual base salary: $230,900–$384,800, plus a 25% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do
- Define the vision, strategy, product roadmaps, and operating model for Targets and Mechanisms platforms and systems.
- Lead the architecture of an interoperable ecosystem integrating scientific data products, metadata frameworks, analytics, and AI technologies.
- Oversee global delivery of SaaS, enterprise, and custom software solutions supporting research, preclinical, and translational workflows.
- Launch and scale AI programs and process-mining capabilities to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Manage complex portfolios, including business cases, financial forecasts, budgets, suppliers, governance, and performance metrics.
- Build partnerships with research leaders, Digital & Technology teams, vendors, and external consortia while mentoring global technical and product leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- 10+ years of leadership experience with increasing responsibility and experience leading large global technical teams.
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated environments.
- Experience with scientific, clinical, and operational data, including collection, aggregation, transformation, and analytics.
- Proven experience leading product management functions and aligning strategy, execution, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Master of Science in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology Management.
- Experience in pharmaceutical clinical development and ‘omics analysis.
- Hands-on coding or software engineering experience.
- PMP and Agile certifications.
