Telecommunications Intern (Computer Science/Data Analytics)

Location: Must reside within 50 miles of Anchorage, Alaska, United States. Remote work is eligible with restrictions; the role may also require work in an office or home-office setting and occasional travel between locations.

What you will do

• Complete an assigned computer science or data analytics project within defined timelines, scope, and budget.
• Conduct research and analysis to support department objectives and business decisions.
• Prepare a written project report documenting the approach, findings, and conclusions.
• Maintain a weekly activity log covering meetings, contacts, and references.
• Meet weekly with a mentor to review progress and work independently or collaboratively with hirify.global employees.

Requirements

• Must reside within 50 miles of Anchorage, Alaska.
• Must be actively enrolled in high school as a junior or senior, or enrolled in college.
• Must have a GPA of at least 2.8 and be at least 14 years old.
• Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, data entry, internet use, and Windows or UNIX operating systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, reliability, initiative, problem-solving ability, and capacity to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to work assigned shifts, including occasional weekends, holidays, or additional hours, and safely move items up to 25 pounds.

• Familiarity with the telecommunications industry.
• Computer, IT, or cellular phone experience.
