Payroll Analyst

Location: Basingstoke, hybrid

Salary: £30,000–£45,000 per year, with bonus; pro rata for part-time hours

What you will do

• Coordinate end-to-end payroll processing across the full monthly cycle.
• Validate payroll inputs, calculations, reports, and employee changes.
• Maintain payroll data and documentation and reconcile payroll reports.
• Manage pensions, benefits, joiners, leavers, and contribution changes.
• Respond to payroll queries and provide accurate information to employees and stakeholders.
• Support compliance submissions, audits, PSA and ONS returns, payroll improvements, and implementation of a new payroll provider.

Requirements

• Experience in payroll processing.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, statutory requirements, and compliance obligations.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Availability to start in early autumn is preferred; immediate availability or a short notice period is especially welcome.
