Mainframe & Distributed Systems Administrator

Location: Hortolandia, São Paulo, Brazil. Availability to work from 2 pm to 11 pm.

A large technology services organization operating and modernizing mission-critical systems for clients across industries including banking and retail.

What you will do

• Monitor Control-M jobs, verify statuses, analyze logs, rerun failed jobs, and update parameters.
• Support mainframe operations using ISPF, TSO utilities, JCL, DB2 tables, and dataset handling.
• Administer and troubleshoot Unix/Linux and Windows environments, including WebSphere JVMs, Citrix, MQ, VMware ESX, and Windows Server.
• Execute and validate SQL queries and perform targeted data corrections.
• Use Postman and APIs to send requests and validate response codes and payloads.
• Analyze logs and dashboards with Kibana, ELK, Dynatrace, and Grafana to identify errors, bottlenecks, and unexpected behavior.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience supporting mainframe and distributed system environments.
• Practical Linux/Unix administration skills, including file, permissions, process, script, and log management.
• Intermediate SQL skills, including SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, INSERT, and UPDATE operations.
• Experience with APIs, Postman, observability tools, incident troubleshooting, and operational procedures.
• Fluent English required for communication with global teams and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree and availability to work from 2 pm to 11 pm.

Nice to have

• Additional Linux administration experience.
• Further SQL experience.
